Swedish massage therapy is the best-known massage, with one of it’s primary goals being relaxing the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. But Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation. It is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension!
In order to tailor your massage to your specific needs tell your therapist what you would like before she begins.
Swedish Back massage: this is a 30 minute treatment focusing on the back, neck and shoulder area, using a fairly firm pressure, but adapt this to each client individually.
Swedish full body: This is a 60 minute treatment, massaging the legs (front and back), tummy (if you would like), hand and arms, back, neck and shoulders. Pressure is usually firm but can be adapted for the client.
